Case Studies

  • Name: Paul Mullins
  • Role: Director - Strategy
  • University: Loughborough

“ I have moved from an entry-level Consultant, not really knowing what I was doing, to running a team of 10 and a P&L of c.£1m in 5 years. Without the support that Investigo has provided me with and the opportunities that have been created, I doubt that I will have had anywhere near the same amount of success”

Description:

Investigo is proud to have a clear promotional criteria structure which is open to all sales colleagues and clearly displayed on our intranet and communicated to all colleagues. Our directors are passionate about developing their teams and are fully supportive to all consultants looking to progress at all levels.

As such, Paul Mullins, Director at Investigo, has displayed phenomenal drive since joining Investigo as an Associate Consultant in July 2010 after graduating from the University of Loughborough with a degree in International Relations, French and Business Management.

Within four months of joining he achieved the criteria to become a Consultant and a year later was promoted to a Senior Consultant. He won the award for Rookie of the Year, which he puts down to getting his ‘head down and working really hard. “I learned about my sector and became passionate about it”.

Hard work, passion and confidence are a great trio for a successful recruitment consultant.’ It’s was this hard work and passion which made him a stand out candidate for the transition from Senior Consultant to Manager with the support of his Director.

Over the course of two years he learnt to build and develop his own team, while maintaining his own billing so he could truly lead by example. Paul achieved all the criteria in July 2013 and from there he spent 15 months building and developing his team to reach the target for Associate Director. Just one year later he achieved the criteria to be made a Director.

Paul has always been one of our strongest revenue generators, leading from the front and bringing in huge amounts of business for the team through his own network. Additionally over the last couple of years he has built a great culture and one of the highest performing teams in the business as well as developing one of the strongest brands in the Strategy market.

Graduates from our Academy can expect ongoing support from their manager and team but also from their allocated buddy who’s role it is to ensure those new to the business feel welcome.

We continue to offer training to all our staff regardless of their previous experience. Investigo host weekly Lunch and Learn sessions.
