If ever there was a world-recognised brand name synonymous with a
particular product, it is Coca-Cola. But while soft drinks represent the
company’s heritage, Coca-Cola Enterprises is responsible for
manufacturing, selling and distributing a wide range of products
including energy drinks, still and sparkling waters, juices, sports and
fruit drinks. In addition to the various Coke® brands, products include
Dr Pepper®, Fanta®, Sprite®, Schweppes Abbey Well® and Glaceau Vitamin
Water® to name but a few. Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is the largest
bottler of Coca-Cola products globally.
The company’s roots can be traced back to the birth of the American
Coca-Cola bottling business in the 19th century, although today it has
grown to serve well over 400 million people throughout North America and
Europe. CCE has around 4,650 employees in the UK, with seven
manufacturing sites plus regional offces and depots. Coca-Cola GB is a
wholly-owned subsidiary which is responsible for marketing and
developing new and existing brands.
Building on success
Coca-Cola is a major sponsor of the 2012
Olympic Games and CCE view this as a huge opportunity to build on its
current successes. As a major corporation, CCE is also well aware of its
corporate responsibilities, for which it has planned and implemented
measures addressing energy conservation (climate change), sustainable
packaging/ recycling and water stewardship.

Graduate opportunities at Coca-Cola Enterprises
As a highly
successful international company, Coca-Cola Enterprises is always
looking to recruit the best talent available. Bright individuals with
passion and motivation will fnd every encouragement and opportunity to
realise their aspirations and achieve a successful career. Roel
Lambrichts, CCE’s Head of Talent Acquisition for Europe, explains:
‘Engaging graduates is a top priority for us. Our Graduate Programme
enables CCE to offer an exciting mix of jobs and experience to top
graduates, preparing them to take key leadership positions. Finding and
developing new talent is vital to securing our long-term corporate
leadership.’
To ensure the highest quality recruitment across its EU operations, in
2009 CCE established a University Talent Pipeline offering two streams.
The two-year Supply Chain Graduate Programme addresses production,
distribution and other central functions including logistics,
engineering, procurement and quality control. The three- year Sales &
Marketing Graduate Programme provides wide-ranging experience in
commercial feld sales, product marketing, strategic partnerships and
trade marketing. Participants in these comprehensive programmes will
rotate roles at least three times, sometimes with the opportunity to
work abroad. CCE regard this as a key initiative and one of its
strategies in building a successful talent pipeline. Through CCE’s
active talent management, successful candidates will have every
opportunity to develop the capability and leadership qualities that lead
to a successful career.
