I joined Goss Innovations a couple months after graduating, and within a matter of days was putting my degree to valuable use. The small consultancy has a relaxed and friendly approach to engineering, whilst demanding high levels of responsibility and commitment in the eyes of any graduate. In my short term with the company I have already worked on numerous projects, varying from development work with a large international company to smaller scale local projects. As a result of working with Goss Innovations, and their respective clients, I have vastly enhanced my feel for engineering design and my proficiency with CAD, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Training and Development
Goss are committed to individual training and development and we assess training needs on an individual basis. Our training is well structured but it builds on your existing skills without trying to mould you too much. You are therefore free to develop your own management style whilst working with many people who have worked for some of the biggest brands in the UK.
Goss places great emphasis on providing equality of opportunity for all employees and in particular ensures that fair selection and development procedures apply. The aim of the policy is to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, colour, religion, race or ethnic origins. In the event that members of staff become disabled, every effort is made to ensure that their employment with the company continues and that appropriate training is arranged.
Working with a successfuldot.com company presents its own unique challenges. That's why we look for graduates with extra initiative and problem solving skills. In our business, no two projects are ever the same and we work across several different industries with some of the largest companies in Europe. Therefore, the ability to work well in a team and the desire to use your initiative are facets that we seek. We currently have two graduates working within our team, Ben Chapman who graduated from University of Bath with a 1st Class MEng(Hons) in Automotive Engineering, and Andrew Gunstone who graduated from University of Glasgow with a 2.1 in Mechanical Engineering.
Graduates who join us will be expected to have a high level of competency which we expect to develop and increase in areas such as production standards, design solutions and product knowledge within our client base. They will be expected to have good communication skills as they will be expected to interface with clients concerning engineering details. We are also able to offer valuable experience for graduates, as sometimes part of their duties will take the form of being placed within a large design office working as part of their team.
