Experior is the only SAP certified partner in the UK dedicated to Testing. We deliver services to SAP clients to plan their test strategy, to execute functional and performance testing and provide assurance and governance. Our experience covers both the core SAP ECC product suite and the latest SAP technology: HANA, cloud applications, business intelligence and mobile. Our clients are some of the most prestigious companies in the UK across diverse industries, although we have particular expertise in Retail, Utilities and CPG. Typically our customers see Experior as their partner to provide assurance, risk-mitigation and expertise to deliver SAP implementations and upgrades on time, under budget and with quality all through a new, reframed approach to testing. We do not see testing as an adjunct but as the strategic determinant of project success.

I enjoy the job variety and being exposed to the many elements of testing. From developing step by step functional scripts to more technical automated scripts, which run in the background. It has been interesting learning the importance of testing and how much companies are willing to invest in testing their SAP systems. I believe the people at Experior make it a great place to work. Initially when I joined, we received two weeks of intensive induction training, where Senior and Principal Consultants shared their knowledge with us. We also had basic training in SAP and HP ALM, an introduction to prepare us for upcoming projects. There have also been courses in performance and automation testing, along with an overview of HANA - all in all this has helped me to develop a broad skill-set across SAP. Working on my first "live" project was great as it gave me exposure to real business uses of SAP and an understanding of how multiple systems connect in such an environment. Another highlight for me is the development of a reporting tool, which I worked on with another graduate. This tool will be used for current clients and future project work. Being put onto project work early in my career is great, it means we get real responsibility. The office environment at Experior is a huge plus, everyone is friendly and willing to help with any problems you may have.

There are two main reasons why I chose to apply to Experior. The first was because of the career progression opportunities; the job variety that the position offered was something that I found extremely attractive - working with different clients and projects throughout my first year as a graduate was an exciting prospect. The second reason was down to the culture and working environment that Experior have built; reading through the website, employee blogs and watching client recommendation videos all reinforced my decision to apply.

I actually found the graduate recruitment process at Experior quite enjoyable; the 1-to-1 interview as well as the assessment centre were both good opportunities for me to find out more about the role and company while also being assessed in a challenging but relaxed environment. My role at Experior has certainly been varied in the first 6 months; working on both client and internal projects has been a great introduction into life as an IT consultant. My first few client projects at Experior have seen me join a functional test team for a build project, create an automated regression test pack and work on a test execution project - all of which have meant working with different testing tools and applications. As well as client project work, I have also been involved in a number of internal roles at Experior, this can vary from offering IT support to Experior consultants to working on the AMS Helpdesk to solve customer queries about the latest testing tools.

As an Experior graduate, you will join our Test Centre where you will of course learn consulting and technical skills through formal training, informal mentoring and crucially real experience but the speed and direction of your career will ultimately be in your hands. As you progress beyond our graduate scheme and through our consulting structure, it will be about you taking your skills and putting them to work at client sites, with the single promise that the variety and challenge will continue, whether you follow a technical or management career path. A bit about where we came from

Our name derives from the Latin word meaning "to prove, to test, to put to the test, to find out" and this is what we do: we provide consulting services to some of the UK's best known companies to help them test their SAP implementations. Experior was founded to deliver a better way for clients to take advantage of SAP, the world's largest Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software company. We believe that testing is in fact the most interesting part of any project. Why? Because creation of a successful testing model comes from our desire, intrigue and ingenuity to build scientific models and through experimentation and interrogation, deliver against them.

So how do we behave?

Our passion is to "dare to be different". We challenge the status quo and are prepared to speak the unpalatable truth to customers, however welcome (or otherwise) that may sometimes be! This behaviour of "daring to be different" stems from our roots, which we describe as "punk consulting". This may create images of pink hair, earrings and wild antics on stage but it goes beyond that - although we have nothing against that behaviour per se! Again it is about being true to ourselves and building lasting relationships with customers and employees through ethics, integrity, working together for the common good but praising individuality. Another way of looking at "punk consulting" is to think of the best punk bands (our CEO is a big fan of The Jam so he is always talking about them!) The Jam had an edge, did go against the grain and certainly roared out against the establishment, but they were also technically excellent musicians. So we may be different but our services (and therefore our investment in our people) are all grounded in technical excellence.

What's the Experior vision?

We are focused on realising our vision, which we express in really simple terms: we want our customers to say that the experience of working with Experior "went way beyond testing". The impact we have on our customers' business is not just that we made sure that the SAP system worked, it is about the customer experience of working with us (quality, trust, memorable interactions) and the fact that we made their implementations a success by putting the user experience at the forefront of everything we do.

For those looking for a structured career with an "up or out" hierarchy, where your progress is measured purely by title (and you are in competition with your peers to continue to climb the pyramid), then we are probably not right for you. As a small company, exposure to our leadership team is genuine. You will interact with our CEO, Directors and other senior leaders in the business and you can be sure that your views will be listened to. Once you have had one conversation with our CEO, where you will learn about the miseries of being a Reading FC season ticket holder, or the inadequacies of the England cricket team, you may find that hard work at a client's project is blessed relief! So how do I get a job with Experior?

It's certain that you can expect to be challenged (a lot!) at whatever level you join us and so motivation, determination to succeed and a real desire to develop yourself are key attributes.

For our graduate scheme, over and above anything else we are looking for smart, keen and inquisitive minds! We are open to receiving applications from graduates with any degree discipline at 2:1 or above, although you should be able to demonstrate a real passion for technology.

For anyone wishing to join us via the graduate route, it's important to mention that for the first 12 months, you will be primarily office-based so your home must be within a reasonable daily commute of Staines. Beyond this, as a Consultant you will be required to travel frequently and will usually be away from home Monday to Friday. With the level of travel involved in our consultancy roles, all applicants must be UK passport holders, have a UK driving licence and own or have access to a car for business use when required.
