University of Exeter

The University of Exeter is one of the leading research-led universities in the UK.

We have over 17,000 students and 3,000 staff, which means that we are large enough to offer all the facilities you’d expect to find in a major university, but small enough to retain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Our campuses in Exeter and Cornwall are truly wonderful places to live and study, situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. Our campus in Exeter is set in picturesque gardens and is a short walk from the historic city centre. Our campus in Cornwall, near Falmouth, offers excellent facilities in an environment unrivalled in the UK, offering a friendly atmosphere, innovative programmes and a great student experience.

In Exeter, you will see that work has begun on delivering the University’s £275 million ambitious capital programme. This will see the creation of new state-of-the-art facilities for our students, including a £48 million redevelopment of the heart of the Exeter campus called the Forum Project. In Cornwall, we are creating a new £30 million Environment and Sustainability Institute which will bring a further expansion of the campus and generating world-class research into the causes of environmental change and how to manage its effects.
