Digital Marketing careers growing for digitally native graduatesNews
With the mass improvements for the internet and successful digital marketing becoming increasingly important for companies, digitally native graduates are finding careers in a range of fields.
Digital Marketing has grown to be a cornerstone for many companies and the success of initiatives in this area can make or break organisations. Whether this is google rankings in competitive industries, email outreach programmes or effective social media campaigns, digitally native graduates are discovering a new world of opportunities becoming available to them.
While many companies have different aims and different measurements of success for their digital marketing efforts, what they all have income is a need for graduates who are aware and knowledgeable about how it all works. Like most things the basics are relatively easy to grasp, but the current generation of graduates have an advantage due to their 'Digital Native' status.
One company looking for these digitally native graduates is Samurai Sportswear. The company should be familiar to those who played sport at university, especially those who played Rugby, Netball or Hockey. The company specialises in sportswear and equipment in these fields, as well as others, but is looking for a graduate to join them in Norwich and improve their Digital Marketing efforts.
The company believes an interest and aptitude for all things digital is a requisite for the position, but any experience will also be looked upon extremely favourably. Many digital marketers will have a grasp of essential tools like Google Analytics, and this is something Samurai Sportswear are also looking for.
Another company who place a lot of thought and consideration into their digital marketing are Sports Direct. The massive sports retailer is looking for a graduate to look after another part of their digital marketing operations – its social media. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and many others have become essential channels for companies to help promote themselves digitally and Sports Direct is looking for a graduate to help them through their social media.
Most graduates will have a familiarity with Facebook and Twitter as essentially networking tools, but Sports Direct are looking for a Social Media Assistant who can put that understanding to commercial and marketing use.
