Express Vending understands grad career confusion

Graduates should be relaxed about career choices, says Sales Director at Express Vending.

Express Vending is a growing drinks vending company with big plans for future expansion. The company's Sales and Marketing Academy invests in graduates, aiming to help university-leaders find a calm approach when considering careers.

Paul Hearne joined Express Vending in 2000 after studying at Harvard Business School. He now works as the company's Sales Director-and he acknowledges that career selection is a big decision.

"I understand that for graduates today the prospect of leaving university and choosing a career may be somewhat daunting; with such a wide variety of careers to choose from, it can be overwhelming," he says.

Paul played to his strengths when deciding what career he wanted, and suggests graduates do the same.

"For me it came down to allowing my strengths to dictate the career path that I chose. I personally wanted to find a company that would be prepared to make an investment in me, allow my ambition to be unbridled, and offer career progression," he says.

"My advice is whether graduates are already considering a career in sales or whether it has never entered their mind, take the time to consider their strengths and weaknesses and where these would be best utilised."

The Express Vending Sales and Marketing Academy prepares graduates for successful careers in sales. Paul says the company is devoted to helping university-leavers get the best start possible.

"With Express Vending, graduates can be certain that our commitment to their personal and professional development will be total. The opportunities to succeed and progress into management and beyond, will allow them to shape their own future."

"Take the time to understand their chosen career path, the company and its people and their destiny will be in their hands."
