This week's #Hottestjobsintheworld shows a small amount of change from last week for four jobs staying in the Top 5. The staying power of these four jobs is impressive with more and more jobs coming available in the new year. Graduates looking to apply for one of these jobs need to make sure that they are knocking the respective careers teams backwards and showing why they are the ideal candidate. Graduates can do this by emphasising certain skills they have picked up from their degree or part-time work, such as communication, organisation or team working skills. One of the main things employers are looking for is evidence of skills they require that they can go on to build on.

5. E-ON - Commercial Graduate Scheme

EON have had a turbulent relationship with the #Hottestjobsintheworld. These are fantastic opportunities for talented and driven graduates to be able to learn from some of the best training out there and forge a career on a variety of pathways. Along with rewarding career opportunities, EON offers fantastic chances for relocation and a generous starting salary of £27,500.

1. Thortons - Graduate Scheme 2013/2014

Thortons has been a consistently popular role, and for obvious reasons. The Scheme has been floating in and out of the top five over recent weeks but has finally done enough to take the top spot. Graduates have been rushing to get their applications sent off to the Derbyshire based chocolatier. With roles based in manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, HR, retail trading and commercial sales (unfortunately not tasting), the scheme offers something for a range of graduates from varying disciplines. The high street store does request that to gain a place on the 27 month scheme, graduates offer them a range of accomplished skills and enthusiasm.
