Training & Profiles

In your first year, you will receive a combination of on the desk training from your manager and off the desk training courses delivered by the Senior Management team and Director on your business unit. We believe the best way for you to learn is on the job while receiving constant feedback from your team members and managers. Every Manager knows what it feels like to be a new consultant and the challenges you face when starting a new role. They will constantly provide feedback helping you improve and grow from the first day. You will shadow senior members of your team as they perform sales and candidate calls. You will also attend candidate interviews and client meetings so you can fully grasp the 360 Recruitment cycle and what is expected within the role.

The off the desk training courses are designed to give you the key skills and techniques needed to further your career. With specialisms ranging from Accounting and Finance to Legal and IT, you will receive the training needed to become an expert in your area.

Our in-house Learning and Development Team plays a huge part in training and developing each of our employees after your first year in the company. These formal training courses are designed to expand your recruitment skillset in areas such as pitching and presenting and advanced business development techniques and will also support you through promotions from Executive Consultant through to management.

Training at Venn Group is a continuous process. Our core value is to develop and promote from within so, from your second year onwards, higher level training helps to reinforce and develop your sales and management skills.

Who are we?
Venn Group was established in 2001 by Alexander Badenoch, Deirdra Moynihan and Philip Hanna as they identified a gap in the market for a consultancy to specialise in contract and interim recruitment which covered all sectors. Since then the company has grown from 5 to 350 employees, which is a direct result of our graduate intake and their accomplishments over the past 15 years. As the UK’s only company to specialise in placing contract interim staff in both the public and private sector, we are experts in placing professionals in fixed term roles and have built a reputation of quality and professionalism with the clients and candidates we work with.

Within your first 18 months you can start working towards your first promotion and it doesn’t have to stop there. Over the course of 2016 we are looking to expand and create new teams which means, over the next few years, for those consultants who join us now there will be opportunities available to manage those teams.

Events and Social Scene
Venn Group boasts an enviable social scene with many local and national events throughout the year. Our annual Christmas Party is the biggest event of the year where all our offices come down to London for the night.
