Worldwide food manufacturer, Bakkavor, is plating up promising careers for graduates on their Accelerated Management Programmes.

Bakkavor is a worldwide manufacturer who works with big name companies such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Starbucks and Pizza Hut. Despite being relatively unknown, graduates say Bakkavor's opportunities rival most management schemes.

Chelsea Peters joined the company's Finance Accelerated Management Scheme and was given responsibility straight away.

"I hadn't heard of Bakkavor before," she says. "But when I learned about the scheme I was really interested in what it had to offer."

"I started the scheme in London as an Assistant Management Accountant for Bakkavor Meals. Almost immediately I took responsibility for preparing weekly Profit and Loss statements and product costings."

Richard Abraham, a graduate on the Human Resources Scheme, says his work at Bakkavor has been very engaging.

"There was the opportunity to collaborate some great projects, like health promotion," he says. "Just seeing the difference that day-to-day coaching and advice makes is really satisfying."

Bakkavor prides itself on serving graduates opportunities to impress and the support to grow, which Chelsea considers one of the major advantages of working for the food manufacturer.

"The best thing at Bakkavor has to be responsibility and experience you get from the scheme. What makes it even better is that everyone is really friendly and encouraging," she says.

"You can draw on others' wide range of experience. People here are innovative and encouraging. There's a real sense of teamwork and a can-do attitude."
