Lloyds Banking Group - Future Financial Wellbeing Graduate Scheme

Lloyds Banking Group

Bank on a better future. Yours and theirs

From that first set of car keys to the last day at work (and all the fun in between). From protecting a family's future to sorting their workplace pension without the jargon. We're here for the big money moments. Making sure our customers feel confident, covered, and ready for whatever curveballs life serves up.

And we don't just build products that work. We build ones that work for the planet too: Cutting the carbon emissions we finance by more than 50% by 2030; Net zero by 2050.Because it's not just about wealth. It's about wellbeing.

As a Future Financial Wellbeing Graduate, you'll join our Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) team to help people take control of their money, protect what matters, and plan for tomorrow without losing sleep over it.

You'll be tackling big-picture issues like an ageing population, low money confidence, and the great generational wealth handover.

If you're naturally inquisitive, have an interest in business, finance and data, and want to help customers become more resilient for whatever the future holds, this could be your scheme.

Challenging the status quo is a big part of what we expect from our graduates. You'll need strong critical-thinking skills, an open mind, humility, and resilience. And because this area is all about people, you'll enjoy collaborating, seeing things from different perspectives, and building strong relationships across the business.

Two years. Three rotations. Make finance click

Over three eight-month placements, you'll deep-dive into the parts of our business where big ideas meet big impact.

You could be:

  • In Customer - seeing what makes people tick (and what makes them switch), understanding how we keep them for life, delivering the highest standards of service and developing a truly customer-centric mindset.
  • In Platform - where business and technology come together. You'll learn how our multi-skilled Platform teams shape end-to-end customer journeys, deliver change more quickly, and use tech and AI to create brilliant outcomes. Projects like Digital Waterfront put you right at the heart of innovation and our customer relationships. Building transformational applications that combine the best of everything IP&I has to offer.
  • In Strategy - exploring our many routes to market: Independent Financial Advisers, direct sales, branch network, and our strong workplace pensions proposition. You'll grow your commercial and competitor insight, build and manage key relationships, and use data to inform strategic decisions that drive growth.

The skills you'll gain

By the time you've finished, you'll:

  • Understand the full customer journey for insurance, pensions and investments.
  • Be able to challenge the way we do things and bring forward data-driven ideas.
  • Turn raw data into "why didn't we think of that sooner?" insights that inform senior management decisions.
  • Lead projects that shape the future of our products and propositions.
  • Develop your commercial strategy skills seeing how strategy turns into growth and how you can become tomorrow's leader.
  • Build your understanding of tech in a business context - from AI to coding tools - with customer centricity always front and centre.

We'll invest in you

  • CII qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute.
  • The opportunity to undertake the "Sustainable Investing Certificate (previously known as CFA Institute ESG qualification) - associated with Kaplan.
  • A bespoke graduate development programme that builds personal effectiveness, covering everything from Insights discovery to influencing with confidence, resilience and delivering business-ready presentations.

Learning? Paid for. Exam fees? Covered. Plus, you'll have a buddy to help you crack the jargon, keep your diary on track, and navigate life at Lloyds Banking Group.
