Our core values include looking after our staff and ensuring that we grow by developing talent within the company.

Our consultants joined Venn Group for many reasons but all are ambitious, tenacious and confident team players. The role of a Venn Group recruitment consultant is varied and demanding but from your first day here we support, train and develop you to be the best you can be.

Mission: Strength from within
A source of our commercial strength is that we grow talent from within. Every one of our management team has worked their way up.

Putting people first
Our reputation has been built – and relies every day – upon how well we look after our clients, candidates and consultants.

Protecting our environment
As a business, we use resources – and we take direct responsibility for ‘putting back’ as much as we ‘take out’.

Training & profiles

In your first year, you will receive a combination of on the desk training from your manager and off the desk training courses delivered by the Senior Management team and Director on your business unit. We believe the best way for you to learn is on the job while receiving constant feedback from your team members and managers. Every Manager knows what it feels like to be a new consultant and the challenges you face when starting a new role. They will constantly provide feedback helping you improve and grow from the first day. You will shadow senior members of your team as they perform sales and candidate calls. You will also attend candidate interviews and client meetings so you can fully grasp the 360 Recruitment cycle and what is expected within the role.

The off the desk training courses are designed to give you the key skills and techniques needed to further your career. With specialisms ranging from Accounting and Finance to Legal and IT, you will receive the training needed to become an expert in your area.

Training at Venn Group is a continuous process. Our core value is to develop and promote from within so, from your second year onwards, higher level training helps to reinforce and develop your sales and management skills.

FAQs

A Career in Recruitment
If you’re a recent graduate, in your final year of University or maybe you’ve just got back from some time travelling, it’s now time to start thinking about your professional career.

Graduates find Recruitment a strong career choice because it’s challenging and rewards diligence and conscientious working. It also provides an environment that will support them through their development to have a long term career. The more you put in, the more you get out and few other careers have such immediate opportunity for success..

Why choose us?
We can offer you one of the best training programmes in the industry which provides you with the right tools and support you need to be a successful recruitment consultant. You’ll be surrounded by likeminded people working towards the same goal. Within your first year you will develop skills which will allow you to generate business from potential and existing clients, pitch, gain specialist sector knowledge and interview and assess candidates for suitable roles. Throughout this period you will be responsible for your own set of clients and you and your manager will work together to develop a strategy for maintaining and developing business with them.

Corporate and Social Responsibility
As we aim to be one of the best recruiting companies in the world, it’s important we lead by example. We take our values and responsibilities seriously – and it’s why many of our clients, candidates, staff and suppliers prefer to work with us rather than the competition.

Venn Group believes supporting and assisting charities and our community is vital in today’s modern world. Each year, Venn Group employees have the chance to choose a charity to support and in 2017, we are proud to be supporting Alzheimer’s Society.

Typically in the past we have held various fund raising events throughout the year including casual dress days, quiz nights as well as employees raising money through sponsored walks, marathons and even abseiling!

We are also a carbon neutral company, ensuring that we encourage every employee to work in an environmentally responsible manner and we promote the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle.

Events and Social Scene
Venn Group boasts an enviable social scene with many local and national events throughout the year. The last Friday of the month, also known as “Fizzy Friday”, is celebrated with free prosecco, wine and beer and is a chance to get an update from a Director of the month’s achievements. Our annual Christmas Party is the biggest event of the year where all our offices come down to London for the night. No expense is spared as Alexander and Deirdra want to reward everyone’s hard work throughout the year with an event to remember.

We also have top performer lunches for Consultants who have achieved the highest billing and many team and office nights out. Venues for these lunches have been some of the most prestigious in London, including The Shard, Duck and Waffle and The Gherkin with top wines on the menu and great views of the city!
