FAQs

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our scheme. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for email SP.GraduateEnquiries@Bakkavor.com where we will be happy to help.

When do you open and close for applications?
We open for applications from Autumn for the following year’s intake, and recruit on a rolling basis. This means that once we have received enough applications for our graduate programmes, we will be closing them. So our advice is to apply as soon as you can.

What is our recruitment process?
All you need to do is register on our website when we open for applications from which you complete an application form, answer a set of scenario questions, complete a psychometric test and finally record a video reflection. If selected, you are then invited to one of our Assessment Centres.

Where will the role be based?
This depends on the programme, but you should be prepared to relocate up to three times to take up three placements and then a permanent position. Our sites are located across the whole of the UK so you will need to show great flexibility.

Do you accept applications from candidates who need a work permit?
Whilst Bakkavor welcomes applications for all members of the community it is unfortunately not able to provide sponsorship for overseas applicants for the vacancies on the graduate programme.

When are your Assessment Centres taking place?
Our Assessment Centres take place during January and February every year, so please ensure you are able to attend if you are selected.

Do I need a driving licence?
It is not mandatory but preferable to have a driving licence and access to your own transport due to the locations of some of the placements.

I have submitted my registration, when will I hear from you?
Once you have submitted your registration form, we will send you an email confirming it has been received. In addition, you can also keep track of the current status of your application in your online account area. We will update your account area and send you an email to advise you of next steps.
