Our Graduate Training Programme
You will kick start your
career at Alpha with our industry leading training programme which will
get you up and running to start making a day-to-day impact on client
projects. We know that starting a graduate job can be daunting so we
help you settle in by a variety of training activities. The initial
welcome week will equip you with a strong consulting toolkit focussing
on areas such as time management, presentation and stakeholder
management. In order to assist you with your industry knowledge we will
allocate time for you to work towards a variety of qualifications.
Throughout the training period we dedicate time for you to spend with
each team at Alpha so you can get an understanding of the practice areas
we operate in. You will also undergo a variety of onboarding activities,
internal training and a number of social events to get to meet the Alpha
team in a more informal setting. On the graduate programme you will
benefit from mentors, regular management one-to-one catch ups and our
buddy scheme. The buddy scheme helps all new starters settle in, you can
ask them anything from work related questions to social related and one
day you will be in their shoes helping the new graduates.
Training does not stop once you finish the graduate scheme as we will
continue to support your learning and development. We continue to
support you through a variety of qualifications, external and internal
training to help invest in your future.
What will you be doing?
Once you have completed training you
will be immersed into life at Alpha, helping your team to deliver client
projects of the highest quality. As a Junior Developer, the role will be
extremely varied as you will be working alongside leading asset and
wealth management companies to use your technological expertise to turn
their dreams into a reality.
Graduates immediately become key members of the team, providing a fresh
way of thinking and problem solving. You will be working on a
combination of technical strategy projects, large-scale implementation
programmes or internal product development. Each and every project will
be different, they could vary in length from just a few weeks to over a
year long.
We encourage you to take on more responsibility when you believe you are
ready. Graduates will soon become experts in the field and be able to
consult some of the most senior executives in the global asset
management industry to help them to achieve their goals.

above from university
