Graduates integral to Enterprise team

Enterprise graduates are integralEnterprise Rent-a-Car take a unique approach to their graduate Trainees, aiming to make them integral to their branch teams.

World leading car rental company, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, believe they go the extra mile when it comes to investing in their graduate talent-they do not merely provide graduate jobs, but rather graduate careers.

As part of Enterprise's Management Trainee Scheme, graduates are made a central part of branch teams, with each Trainee given the support and opportunity to move upwards within the company. Enterprise believes that graduate Management Trainees will thrive in their dynamic environment.

Joanne Franklin, a Management Trainee, finds that when it comes to investing in its staff, Enterprise Rent-a-Car mean it.

"What's great about working in Enterprise is that everyone, whether car prep or branch manager, is valued as an integral part of the company. After joining, I quickly realised that 'great things happen when we listen...to our customers and to each other' isn't just one of the core values - it's a real way of life."

Embedding graduates in the company culture and philosophy is important to Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Joanne says communication is key to the company ethos and that team days out help build trust between employees.

"I believe that good customer service stems from listening to the needs of the customer, and that's certainly true here. And while the office is always buzzing, there's nothing that compares to a good team day; only last week we went white water rafting!"

Enterprise Rent-a-Car maintain a policy of internal promotion, allowing graduates to go as far as their hard work and determination will take them. Joanne explains how Trainees are expected to take a hands-on approach to their development.

"At the moment I'm on track to be one of the next generation of Enterprise leaders. After an induction at our head office, I moved into my current branch so the learning process is really hands-on, meaning problem solving skills are key."

Joanne is taking on all the opportunities she is offered and learning all the time from those around her. At the moment she sees her future with Enterprise Rent-a-Car and is hoping to be rewarded for her hard work.

"As a Trainee I work closely with my manager which really gives me an insight into how the business operates. And as I'm aiming to become an assistant manager by the start of next year, it's an invaluable learning opportunity too."

Graduates looking for a job which will allow them to go the distance and be an integral part of a dynamic team may want to consider an opportunity with Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
