Metronet 2024 graduate opportunities

Company Company profile

Our platform. Your launchpad.

Joining Metronet Rail means sharing a commitment to delivering a world- class, safe and reliable Tube system for London Underground. A Transport for London business, we have responsibility for renewing and maintaining two thirds of one of the world's largest and most complex underground rail networks. We are investing almost £27 million a week, improving and renewing trains, track, signals and other related infrastructure, in addition to maintaining 1,000,000 assets, striving to deliver excellent operational performance, day in, day out.

We're recruiting graduates for our three engineering training schemes accredited by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Civil Engineers and Institution of Engineering and Technology. Joining us means developing new methods of solving old problems and better ways to anticipate and avoid new ones - it also means you'll have one of the best possible starts to your mechanical, electrical or civil engineering career.

A combination of three to six-month placements over a two or three-year structured development programme will give you real responsibility on live projects as you work towards chartered status. You'll have a mentor to give you day-to-day advice and support, as well as a sponsor - a senior team member - who'll take personal interest in your professional development. And in addition to first-hand experience of challenging engineering projects there will be training programmes that cover technical, management, leadership and financial skills.

It's everything you need to launch your professional career and progress as fast as possible towards chartered status.
