Company Company profile

Our passion for quality and innovation has created brands that are known - and loved - by millions. Who else could excite the world with products as huge as Creme Egg, Trident and Dairy Milk? Of course, such brands aren’t built without dedication and such global success doesn’t happen without inspired commercial thinking. But these are qualities Cadbury insists on, and it’s what they look for in their graduates.

Only a small number are talented enough to get their chance with Cadbury. But those lucky few get unprecedented experience across each area of the business as well as priceless support from their mentor and colleagues, all passionate about what they do. What’s more, you’ll get to work on real projects, in a real role, right from day one: what better way to start on the path that might lead you to become a future leader at Cadbury? And leadership begins quickly - as part of the programme, you will be entrusted with creating and running an exciting community-focused project together. This might be local, it might take place abroad - the only condition is that it brings to life Cadbury’s spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Case studies

  • Name: Rachel Cooke
  • Role: Process Development Manager

"When I joined Cadbury I never thought that within eight months I would be living in Dublin managing a shift of 20 people. The wide range of people and challenges I encountered kept me busy, as did making sure I made the most of my time in Ireland. I knew I'd made a success of it when the operators stopped the production line to say goodbye to me!"

FAQs

How long is the graduate scheme?
The scheme typically lasts three years before graduates find a position within the organisation, although this is flexible depending on your individual career path.

Where will I be based?
Location depends entirely on the business area chosen: whilst some graduate streams are initially based in Bournville, careers in the other business areas can begin in any one of our UK or Irish sites. This year we have graduates based in Bournville, Sheffield, Uxbridge, Dublin and Exeter. Opportunities in Cadbury are international so in order to maximise career potential we encourage our graduate recruits to be fully mobile.

What opportunities to work in other countries?
Our primary focus is to recruit people locally for our local business unit needs. People can develop a local, regional or international career. Throughout your career with us you will be able to take advantage of our international career and development opportunities that can take you to other countries and businesses.

Will I be given responsibility from the start?
Straight from day 1, graduates are given high levels of autonomy and responsibility combined with great support and guidance. This should give you the visibility to get noticed, a voice that is listened to, and the ability to get things done. If you'd like to hear it from the graduates themselves, please take a look at our graduate blogs.

Can nationals from outside of the EEA and Switzerland apply for the graduate programme in the UK?
If you are not an EEA or Swiss national you will need a work permit in order to work in the UK. In order for us to support applications for work permits we must prove that the required skills cannot be sourced from those who are eligible to work in the UK. Therefore, if you do not have a work permit but believe you are an exceptional candidate, please go ahead and apply.
