This is the time of the year when many people around the country will be donning a gown and mortar board in order to receive the degree that they have spent the last three, four or maybe even seven years working to attain. It is a very elating time and a day you will remember for the rest of your life. However, all of the furore surrounding the event can eclipse the next stage of events. We don't want to drag down those who have yet to have their graduation ceremony but on the other side of that excitement there lies a future that needs tending to (if it hasn't been already of course!). That is what we are for! It can feel a bit like a I'll-cross-that-bridge-when-I-come-to-it deal but the truth is that the earlier you set the job hunting wheels in motion the easier it is later on, and you will appreciate your early start. Job applications are lengthy processes; from the moment a job goes live on to the day someone is offered the position can be a matter of months so if you're graduating in June, starting to apply now is not a bad idea at all. If you know what you want to do and/or have a vocational degree then you can start looking at our jobs by sector. On the other hand if you are little unsure where you wish to take your future graduate career then fear not, many people hit this quandary at graduation. Sign up with us, if you haven't already, and let us know what areas you are roughly interested in. We will send you jobs on those areas and you can refine the ones you are interested in and feel you are capable of. It's a great way of finding out what you want to do as a graduate job and now, just before or after graduation, is the perfect time to do start this practice. By all means enjoy your last days of university, your last days of partying there and enjoy your graduation day but a quick scan of and a few job applications would put you in good stead for the immediate future. This is a transition from one kind of a life to another and we can help you with that.
