Asset management company, Schroders, provides support to pursue long-term career ambitions, say graduates.

Schroders offers graduates the opportunity to fulfil career objectives when they join one of the company's many Graduate Schemes. The streams available allow graduates to earn professional qualifications while working towards their ideal careers.

Business Analyst Kathryn, who joined Schroders in Tech, says her team encourages her to pursue her ambitions within the company.

"The thing that impressed me most about the rotations was just how helpful all the teams were," she says. "The effort was always made to bring me up to speed with what they did and how they worked, which meant that I could contribute right from the word go."

"I'm working in a great team with a lot of intelligent and inspirational people. The learning curve is still steep, but this just means that I'll keep on gaining new skills and experience."

As part of the Tech programme, Kathryn undertook five rotations across the business-Testing, Business Analysis, Environment Management, Project Management and Architecture, and Business Consultancy.

"Each one showed me something new about Schroders, and each had its own challenges," she says. "The experience I got to build up in the first year was incredible."

Schroders offers careers in Finance, Risk, Tech, Compliance, Operations, Commercial, and Investment, and the company believe in an open and collaborative culture which supports graduates in their long-term goals.

Graduate Equity Analyst, Stephen, says he understands those goals will take time to reach, but in the meantime, he is enjoying the experience.

"Long term, I want to become a fund manager," he says. "But right now, I just want to continue delivering for the team and taking advantage of all the opportunities to build my experience across a range of sectors."
