Position: Sales Development Representative

Location: London (Hybrid working - 1-2 days a week in office)

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 plus £19,200 OTE (uncapped)

Who they're looking for

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will join the team on their mission 'to help anyone create mobile or web apps without having any coding skills'. This is an amazing opportunity to join a business that is in the relatively early stages of growth, yet has exciting plans ahead.

An SDR plays a critical role in the sales process, as without lead generation and booking meetings, there would be minimal sales revenue. So this role's primary focus is to source new business targets that will ultimately turn into clients.

This is primarily an outbound sales role so you need to be ambitious, tenacious, well organised, resilient and absolutely love selling! This is a rewarding role that is supported with a training programme to help you hit the ground running. There is also fantastic scope for career development, as you'll have the opportunity to progress to a junior account executive role within 18 months - you just need to demonstrate commitment, a formidable work ethic and a willingness to go above and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Qualification calls, lead-generation, cold-calling, prospecting via email, LinkedIn, other media and events. The objective of this outreach is to book in qualification calls with potential clients and feed these leads to a senior member of the sales team to have a Discovery call.

You will be provided with marketing leads and support however you will also be responsible for generating some leads through your own research, and managing the process of scheduling in Qualification and Discovery Calls. The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Initial Outreach/Outbound Prospecting
  • Inbound Lead Generation
  • Setting appointments and meetings
  • Educating prospects on the product offering and industry insight
  • CRM & lead management

Personal attributes & experience

  • Intelligent, highly articulate and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Active and empathetic listener
  • Comfortable cold calling with confident telephone manner
  • Persuasive and persistent yet friendly and personable
  • High energy, proactive, willing to get stuck in
  • Naturally comfortable with building relationships
  • Willing and able to follow processes and carry out instructions
  • Driven and persistent, self-motivated and hungry to succeed in an outbound sales role
  • A passion for technology

Experience

  • Strong academic background with a degree in a reputable subject
  • No previous outbound sales experience is essential, as you will receive training on their sales process.
  • Sales, SaaS or Events industry experience is beneficial, but not essential.
