    Interview process

    During the interview I was asked,

    What I currently do in my role at the minute?
    How it relates to the job vacancy?
    How I can adapt to working within a large work force?
    My abilities to work CAD?
    My abilities to learn and think on the spot?
    How does my current work reflect my capabilities? How I will be able to manage a large work load?
    Will working under pressure be a problem?
    How would I be able to work to standards set within the company?
    What else am I able to do other than design engineering?
    I was then taken around their site, shown their products, and what exactly they do. This was interesting to see around another persons factory. After the tour of the factory, we went back into the office, and continued with the interview. The over all interview I feel I managed well, although the owner of the business, I new I definitely would not want to work for him. He was very arrogant and ignorant and seemed to want to show he was a lot better than myself who was just starting off in my career. The interview lasted for a full hour, of which I then left and was later contacted by the company with the job offer, which I refused. I was so annoyed after leaving the interview, I new I could not work for that company. The overall format of the interview was very unprofessional. The questions were very unstructured and had no flow to them, making the interview very uncomfortable.

    Be very careful with the wording throughout your interview, he comes across so cross, and dry leaving the interview even harder, and with its lack of structure it is very hard to relax during the interview. They have no preparation in place for interviews, and seemed like they had forgotten I was even coming and with the owner present, it will seem he is very ignorant and arrogant, I would advise beginners to avoid this company.
