We supply power and gas to around five million customers and counting in the UK alone, providing both homeowners and business with technical innovation and a service they can trust.
Whilst managing our traditional energy portfolio, we’re also looking at new and better ways to generate energy. Since 2011, we have invested an impressive €3bn into renewables like wind, biomass and marine, plus climate protection measures. We’re using new technologies to help reduce the environmental impact of fossil fuels, and we’re also finding lots of clever ways to help customers use less energy and keep their bills down.
Ten different graduate schemes
We offer ten schemes in all, lasting
from 18 to 24 months. They cover a wide range of business areas, from
Engineering and Finance to HR and IT & Business Change. Whichever scheme
you’re on, you’ll get a view of the overall business – both in the UK
and abroad, and an inside look at the people, processes and technology
that are transforming energy today. Equally important, you’ll also gain
a valuable professional qualification along the way — such as chartered
status (engineers), CIPD (HR) or CIMA (finance).
Two types of undergraduate placements
We also offer two types of
undergraduate schemes: one for Engineering and another for Commercial.
Lasting 48 weeks, they’ll give you an inside look at how we’re changing
the industry each and every day. So whether you’re supporting our
research and development activities, or helping to define our IT or
Finance strategy, you’ll gain experience that will shape your future –
and make a big difference to us, too.
