When do you open and close for applications?
We open for applications from the start of September for the following year’s intake, and recruit on a rolling basis. This means that once we have received enough applications for our graduate schemes, we will be closing them. So our advice is to apply as soon as you can.
What is our recruitment process?
We want to keep it as straight forward as possible. All you need to do is to create an account from which you complete an application form, online tests and finally a video interview. Your video is then reviewed by one of our senior managers in your chosen business area. If selected, you are then invited to one of our assessment centres.
Where will the role be based?
This depends on the scheme, but you should be prepared to relocate up to three times to take up two placements and then a permanent position. Our sites are located across the whole of the UK so you will need to show great flexibility.
Do you accept applications from candidates who need a work permit?
Whilst Bakkavor welcomes applications for all members of the community it is unfortunately not able to provide sponsorship for overseas applicants for the vacancies on the graduate scheme.
When are your assessment centres taking place?
Our Assessment Centres take place during February and March every year. Once you complete your application form, you will be able to see the exact dates in relation to your scheme on your online account area. So please ensure you are able to attend if you are selected.
Do I need a driving license?
It is not mandatory but preferable to have a driving license and access to your own transport due to the locations of some of the placements.
I have submitted my registration, when will I hear from you?
Once you have submitted your registration form, we will send you an email confirming it has been received. In addition, you can also keep track of the current status of your application in your online account area. We will update your account area and send you an email to advise you of next steps.
