Case Studies

  • Name: Adam
  • Role: Project Management Graduate
  • University: Loughborough University

"Whilst at university, I enjoyed a guest lecture delivered by an Atos Project Manager. With the positive picture he painted and my interest in the constantly changing digital environment, I decided to apply online for the Grad scheme. Since starting with Atos each day has been different, from working at a client site to being at my base location or working from home. Wherever you are working as a graduate within the company, you are always given responsibility from the outset: I picked up my laptop on day one and was sat at the client’s office on day three. As well as project work, Atos has allowed me to get involved in both business unit initiatives and service improvements, as well as take a lead on graduate initiatives aimed at constantly improving the recruitment process and grad scheme for new recruits."

  • Name: Andrew
  • Role: Software Development Graduate
  • University: Reading University

"I graduated from Reading University in Applied Computer Science and looked for a graduate scheme that would challenge me, give great opportunities in a technical role, as well as having a good community feel. Atos has certainly met all of these requirements! I work as a SharePoint developer creating SharePoint solutions and have had exposure to a wide range of projects and clients. There are lots of opportunities to work on projects outside your core role to support your development and I’ve also been involved in a number of charity events with other graduates."

  • Name: Jenny
  • Role: Cyber Security Graduate
  • University: Lancaster University

"I studied IT for Creative Industries at Lancaster University but when I was considering my career options, I was concerned that my existing technical knowledge would not be strong enough to do well in a technical graduate scheme. However, the Atos graduate scheme provides a great support network and training, which encouraged me to apply. In the time I’ve been at Atos I have learnt more than I expected, and find my day-to-day role in Cyber Security provides the perfect balance: enjoyable and interesting yet challenging. Everyone was very welcoming from my first day and the Atos buddy system made sure I had a friend long before my start date, which made moving to a new city a lot easier. Everyone took the time to explain how Atos works, taught new concepts and demonstrated how to use the tools, which meant I learnt a lot in a very short space of time."
