"There is a great support system and training structure in place here at Alexander Hall..."

Description:

After finishing university in 2011 I knew I wanted to work in the finance industry but was unsure as to which sector. I wanted a career that had a wide range of day-to-day tasks, as I did not want to be tied to a desk all day, while also offering the earnings potential of a large financial institution.

Working at Alexander Hall I particularly enjoy the diversity of the role – from meeting a range of client types to being a part of training sessions with lenders. Every day is different and challenges me to be my best.

I started with the Alexander Hall group in 2012, working through various roles. In 2018 I was given the opportunity to manage a team of advisors and help them to achieve their personal and professional goals. There is a great support system and training structure in place here at Alexander Hall, which I am very pleased to be a part of. I have also managed save enough money to buy my own property – something I never thought would be possible after I graduated!

"...Alexander Hall is exceptional and I can’t thank them enough for the journey they’ve taken me through."

Description:

I graduated from Regents University London with a Business and Finance degree, before entering a hotel business in East Africa, where I managed new projects and also found time to travel. After a few years, I moved back to London to find a role that gave me a good mix of being able to work in a finance role but also be more independent, giving me more control over my future.

After having a comprehensive training plan set up for me by Alexander Hall and achieving my CEMAPs, I started working out of the Holborn office, which had an energetic atmosphere with teamwork being at the heart. Meeting new clients every day and talking them through suitable options for their lives over the next five to ten years is extremely rewarding. Knowing that we have the best options to offer allows me to have these discussions with confidence.

The daily training and support at Alexander Hall is exceptional and I can’t thank them enough for the journey they’ve taken me through. This has allowed me to progress to an Associate Director role in a very short period of time and earn enough to purchase my own home.

"No two days are the same in this job."

Description:

I graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Warwick and worked in the insurance industry for a short while. While here, a good friend recommended Alexander Hall to me. The energy and drive across the business was recognisable from day one and the support provided to me was unrivalled by anywhere else I have worked.

I quickly picked up an understanding of the property industry through my time in the Client Services Department while studying for my CeMAP qualification. This in turn led me to me progressing through to the Trainee Adviser role and then into the Mortgage Adviser role. Alexander Hall really pushes a meritocratic culture, and after 14 months I was then made an Associate Director.

No two days are the same in this job. One day I could be attempting to finance a tricky purchase with a private bank for a client with a complex income structure, the next I could be arranging a Help to Buy purchase for someone who has been recommended my services by one of my many existing clients. Living in London is expensive but having a career at Alexander Hall has allowed me to earn enough to enjoy the city while saving in the process.
