Manufacturing Graduate

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the position of Manufacturing Graduate.

To gain an understanding of Management and key Operations roles within the Company which will enable the continuity and productivity of the plants via completion of the Forterra Graduate Programme and on the job training. This position will be involved in providing direction of site manufacturing activities. The role holder will play an active part in the development of business plans, the design and delivery of key processes and fulfilling the strategic objectives of the operational areas.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

To gain management responsibility experience through a series of secondments on key Forterra sites over a period of 2 years, the role includes but is not limited to:

• Learning and reporting how the site functions from the Factory Floor to Operational Management Level.
• Playing a key part in the implementation of key projects and working towards fulfilling the objectives of the operational sites.
• It is expected that the Graduate will complete business projects throughout the process implementing the knowledge and experience gained during the placements.

About you;

• The ideal candidate will need to be a recent graduate having studied in one of the following fields: Civil or Structural Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Be initiative-taking and take accountability for any projects and tasks assigned.
• Possess good people skills.
• Strong presentation skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate with staff at all levels
• Excellent IT skills.
• Ability to travel to various sites across the UK.
