Details
Are you an organised, bright, and enthusiastic individual looking to start your career in the renewable energy sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to take that first step towards project development, learning site-selection and assessment techniques and development support skills.

Aura Power is a leading global developer of renewable energy projects, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bristol, UK. We develop large scale solar and battery storage projects in the UK, Canada, the USA, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, Spain and Ireland, working closely with landowners and local stakeholders to develop our sites to the highest standards. Our projects are delivered with local knowledge and expertise and offer benefits to the local communities as well as including measures to enhance the natural environment. By focusing on best-in-class development processes and technology we have delivered a truly scalable development model and our team prides itself on managing and developing the highest quality solar and battery storage projects globally.

About the role
The Development and Business Support Team (DBS) plays a key role within Aura, providing specialist and technical support to the development, business and management teams. From providing detailed screening of potential sites for development, through document & data management, provision of technical drawings & live project information and reporting, to coordinating CfD and Capacity Market registration/pre-qualification and managing sale/financing data rooms and Q&A processes, we are involved in every stage of the development process.

As part of the DBS, this position is primarily focused on supporting the development teams, but as the role of the DBS is varied and continually evolving, you will also receive training in other aspects of the development process and can expect to be providing support across all areas of the business from time to time.

●        Site identification and analysis, providing recommendations on sites to progress
●        Recording of site analysis information

●        Collation of data for monthly reports
●        Preparation of maps, draft site layouts, and other drawings
●        Liaison with engineers and maintenance of information files
●        Process development

This is an entry-level position and while the role would probably best suit a recent graduate (most likely having obtained a high 2:1 or 1st in a subject which has made use of CAD), what matters most to us is that you have an obvious interest in renewable energy, a keen eye for detail and the ability to learn quickly. You will also be a confident communicator, adaptable, highly organised and capable of working on your own initiative. So, if you are looking for a career change or just believe that you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, and can prove it, we would very much like to hear from you.
