Customer Management (Sales) ensures that our brands are available wherever the shopper wishes to buy them. What will I be doing?
You’ll develop your commercial knowledge and numerical skills. You’ll build partnerships with our wide range of customers – supermarkets, superstores, convenience stores, drug stores, discounters, online retailers, ice cream parlours and even theme parks – so that we reach our target markets. That could mean working together to maximise a new product launch, recommending the right range of products, developing marketing programmes, negotiating an annual business plan, or looking for new business opportunities. Our Customer Insight and Innovation Centre allows us to work with our customers in exciting new ways. Our people have the opportunity to help build a bright future for our world, making a big impact every day, on a local level, across Europe and the globe. Students must have completed the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree by the time they start their placement and be returning to study after their placement.
Our Customer Management Summer and Industrial Placements are a chance to showcase your thinking and skills, with total support from a line manager and a buddy. Students who successfully pass our Summer Placement programme will be fast-tracked to the final stage of the selection process for the Unilever Future Leaders Programme – the Discovery Centre Day. Top performers on the industrial placement may be offered a place directly onto our Future Leaders Programme, starting when you complete your degree, without needing to apply.
We also have excellent benefits to support you through your placement including a salary of £20,000, 20 days’ annual leave and online training.
