Working out of our super site in Crawley, West Sussex, this role sits within our Thales Training and Simulation business that provides cutting edge, market leading simulation technologies that help train professionals.


Thales has a requirement for a number of systems engineering graduates and interns to support the Systems Engineering Management and Project Design Authority roles. Support the design and development phase along with requirements managements and test and integration will provide the candidates with experience to make the transition to the next step as an architect or Systems Engineering Manager.


As a Systems engineer within the Thales Training and Simulation you will be encouraged to be accountable, demonstrate your potential and take responsibility.


The successful candidate would work across a variety of programmes, including the opportunity to work on significant R&D programmes as well as customer projects.


Assessment centre dates: 13 November – 14 December across multiple locations


Key responsibilities
• Provide technical support to senior project engineering roles
• Support all phases of a life-cycle
• Support test and integration
• Involvement in planning of engineering activities
• Responsible for creation of project status.


Desired skills, qualifications and experience
• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Degree in a system engineering, computer science, software engineering)
• Experience of a design life-cycle
• Experience of system integration and testing
• Exposure to Systems Architecture
• Exposure to Systems Modelling
• An analytical and logical thinker.


Please note that GDP activities take place during the working week but may require the investment of some personal time for travel and follow up activities. You may have the opportunity to travel to Thales and non-Thales sites throughout the UK when participating in Graduate Development Programme activities.


In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
