• Who are we looking for?

As our ideal Logistics placement student you will need to be enthusiastic, well organised, and self-motivated.

You will be an undergraduate student, following a path to a degree level qualification in a relevant subject with a predicted achievement of a 2:1 classification.

What might my 12 month programme entail?

The Logistics Placement student will be reporting to the Head of Logistics and form part of the team covering Materials throughout the region.

Your time spent on our 12 month Logistics placement will include 3 rotations in the following departments which will give you an understanding of how orders are effectively organised and managed for the duration of supply to a specific contract/customer

Transport: during this rotation you will see how our Core Fleet is managed, audited and used efficiently throughout the region. You will also develop your knowledge on vehicle types, vehicle standards as well as haulier earnings and driver training.

Distribution: you will gain an understanding of how daily customer orders are received, planned and delivered on time across our network.

Sales and Operations Planning: you will influence how materials supplies are mapped against customers demand throughout the region.
