Who are we looking for?
• As our ideal Supply Chain & Logistics Graduate you will need to be enthusiastic, well organised, and self-motivated.
• You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject with a minimum achievement of a 2:1 classification.


What might my 2 year programme entail?
The role of Supply Chain & Logistics Graduate will be reporting to the Cement & Lime National Logistics Manager and form part of the team covering nationally throughout the UK.


To work within and support the Logistics function in a fast paced moving business. Experience will be gained in storage systems, inbound material planning, scheduling, road, rail and shipping logistics,operations management, finance and KPI setting. Supporting current Distribution offices, with specific support to major projects.


The successful candidate will undergo a tailored 24 month development programme which will include working within the Supply Chain BU in Cement & Lime looking at defined projects in Lime & Powders Logistics, Supply Planning, Rail Operations, Own Fleet Management, Depot Operations including blending of cement, Contract Management and 3PL Operations and be assigned a BU Wide Continuous Improvement Project. There will also be the potential for secondments to other parts of the business to ensure that the successful candidates have a good understanding of the whole business by the end of the development programme.


This role is part of a national team which sits within the Cement & Lime Supply Chain department. Consisting of National Logistics Manager, Contract Manager, Supply Planning team, Regional Logistics Managers and 4 x Distribution Managers around the country


As part of this role there will be rotations which will require you to spend periods of time at another site in the UK for up to 3 months at a time so mobility is essential.


The experience gained will be diverse across the Supply Chain business in all departments which will include Supply Chain planning, Route to Market for Bulk, packed and high value products. Stock positioning, Seasonality, imports and exports, customer delivery windows, new product development and supply to customer including operational knowledge gained at our South East Terminal packing facility.


Skills that will be developed during the scheme are communication skills both written, verbal and face to face, problem solving skills, attention to detail, organisational skills, people management ,ability to make decisions and dealing with ambiguity, presentation and report writing skills, self motivation and personal drive
