Report to: Supply Chain Manager

Job Descripton
To provide full support to the Supply Chain Team with emphasise on general administration, direct shipments and responsibility for the stock planning and availability in a portfolio of product groups

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a graduate looking for a posting in a commercial environment where they can develop a career in a supply chain function, while gaining valuable experience across all commercial functions in a fast growing successful consumer goods business. Being organised and self motivated is a must, as well as working to deadlines and having excellent attention to detail. Strong excel skills, be open to learning new systems and procedures, working in a team environment, an excellent communicator and good interpersonal skills. There will be the opportunity to gain a CIPS Diploma through an external study programme.

Supply Analyst & Co-ordinator

Role & Responsibilities

The role will support three functions within the Supply Chain Team.

Data Administration

Using Sage 200 for purchase order and shipment data entry

  • Accurate and timely data entry to support business reporting

Booking deliveries into Sage 200 system

  • Accurate and timely to enable visibility of warehouse stock
  • Supplier invoice match and resolution of differences.

Direct Shipments for Customers from Manufacturers

  • Liaise with sales team, Chinese sourcing office and customers freight forwarder
  • Process all relevant commercial documents
  • Submission of documents in a timely manner to customers
  • Following up any discrepancies with customers when necessary

Supply Analysis

To ensure sufficient stock is available to meet forecasted demand by ensuring:

  • Accurate rolling forecasts are maintained at line and customer level
  • Demand patterns are monitored and reported
  • Work with Sales Managers to ensure information provided is timely and accurate
  • Document customer promotional requirements
  • Monitor sales against forecasts and the reservation of stock for key accounts
  • Close co-operation with the Supply Chain team
  • Close co-operation with operations & sales team.
  • Use a Demand Planning system (Slimstock) to manage forecasts and suggested purchase requirements.
  • Work to KPIs - availability no less than 95% & stock level values within the agreed budgets at each month end.
  • To provide support for all areas of the business as and when required.
  • To react to all unforeseen circumstances in a positive, constructive manner.
