An internship with us means real experience and responsibility. You’ll gain an insight into both Lloyd’s and the global insurance industry, all of which will put you in an excellent position for our strongly linked graduate programmes. If you’re in your penultimate year at university, you can join us for this paid summer internship, running for eight weeks from June to August.


You’ll be placed in a single business area, either in the marketplace or in the Lloyd’s corporation itself. Here you’ll be given the opportunity to build up your skills and experience, either on particular projects or helping out with everyday operations.


What you’ll be doing
You’ll be a key member of your team and have a great opportunity to see how Lloyd’s works in action. What you’ll actually be doing on your placement varies depending on the area you join. For example, in Underwriting Performance, you could be working closely with companies in the market to evaluate their business plans. Elsewhere, you might be exploring trends in insurance claims. Whatever you do, you’ll be learning and building on your skills as you discover new areas of interest.

If we’re impressed by your work on the internship (and you’re equally impressed with us), we may even offer you a fast track to the graduate assessment day for the following year.


What you’ll need
To join us as an intern, you’ll be predicted to achieve at least a 2:2 (or equivalent) in any degree subject. We need individuals that can communicate effectively, are keen to learn and excited by our organisation and the opportunities we have to offer.
