A market leading, Global Conference and Event organisers based in the heart of London are looking for a proficient Sales Executive to work on either their Defence or Pharmaceutical portfolio of events.

This rare opportunity to work with senior industry figures on well-respected and established conferences. You will be using highly consultative sales techniques to sell high value Event Sponsorship packages to key solutions providers within the Defence or Pharmaceutical industry for the various networking events they host globally. You will also have the opportunity to attend these networking events internationally. This will be the perfect role for a money motivated and career minded individual. If you are just starting out in your sales career or are looking to progress into a market leading events business, this could be the perfect job for you to develop your skills and join a growing and influential team

The role

  • Proactively sourcing, approaching and selling to high level executives from leading companies using your industry knowledge to become a trusted advisor to new and existing events sponsors
  • Monitoring, prioritising and reporting sales and opportunities to ensure that targets are being met and business opportunities are being exposed
  • You will be responsible for nurturing your clients, up-selling them to increase spend, managing the relationship and ensuring repeat business
  • You will consistently strive to achieve and exceed financial targets to benefit from a lucrative commission scheme and other incentives
  • Liaise with production, marketing, sales and event management as well as externally with clients to deliver a consistent message for each event
  • Travelling globally to attend the conferences and events in order to network with your sponsors and maintain sponsor relationships onsite

The candidate

  • With a 1st Class Honours or 2.1 degree, you will be well equipped to conduct detailed industry research before pitching products
  • Previous sales experience and strong analytical skills will allow you better grasp the subject matter
  • A hardworking, determined attitude will allow you to maximise business opportunities, meet and exceed personal KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills & telephone manner will mean you're able to confidently communicate with senior decision makers
  • outstanding negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels will help you win business and earn commission
