The Summer Placement Scheme is designed to provide you with a flavour of what it is like to work at Sellafield Ltd and although you are only with us for a shortened period of time we can assure you that you will still feel you have made a difference

Where do I fit in?
Due to the varied nature of the roles available at Sellafield Ltd we ask you to consider which profession area is your preferred option.

Although we ask you to select an area of interest to guide us, we do like to get to know you through the recruitment process to ensure that your placement is the best fit for you.
We look for candidates to be professing towards a 2:1 in their chosen subject, be in their penultimate year at university (2018 Graduation for Summer Placements) and engineering subject to be working towards a masters.
We have roles for Summer Placement Engineers in Design Engineering and Plant Engineering.
We have roles for science based Summer Placement Students within our Technical department.
Safety Support Department.
As a Summer Placement student you can expect to gain experience in a variety over areas which will enable you to obtain a solid understanding of both Project Management and Sellafield Ltd as a whole. You will gain an appreciation of our Project Management methodology and your potential career pathway thorough Sellafield Ltd.
The Sellafield Ltd Summer Placement Scheme is a 10 week programme that offers you on the job experience in one of the most challenging Nuclear Facilities in the world.
In return we offer a competitive salary and a support network that will aid your growth.
As part of the Summer Placement Scheme you will get the chance to take part in activities that will allow you develop your skills in line with our Graduate Scheme and also allowing you to obtain valuable employability skills and experience.
We pride ourselves in the selection of our Students - you can expect to take part in various exercises including an Aptitude Test and Interviews.
Start Date & Duration
The Summer Placement students will start with Sellafield Ltd in late June 2017 and will be on a Fixed Term Contract for 10 weeks.
