As a DAR Trainee you will be supporting the DAR team in projects and work on behalf of a large number of Lloyd’s Managing Agents and Company market insurers.

Your role will be focused around client, broker, Coverholder and TPA liaison and also in supporting the DAR team in providing clients with independent assurance with regards to the design and effectiveness of a Coverholder’s / TPA’s internal control processes and compliance with their delegated binding authority agreements (BAAs).

Your time will be split between working at Coverholder’s / TPA’s premises, working in the office and studying for your professional exams.

As a DAR Trainee, your typical daily duties will include:

Assist with the planning and logistical arrangements for each review;

Assist the DAR team auditors with the performance of underwriting or claim file reviews and transactional accounting fieldwork;

Shadowing the DAR Manager to gain a knowledge of the Insurance industry, the audit scope and building a knowledge of “best practice” and audit skills;

Feed into and discuss practical recommendations for improvements to systems and controls based on observations and best practice;

Responsibility for the DAR central mailbox and ensuring that client SLAs are met for all correspondence;

Assisting with the management of Lloyd’s reviews in the Lloyd’s AiMs system, and ensuring that all data within this system is up to date;

Frequent contact with the Central Admin Support and Invoicing teams to ensure smooth running of these functions;

Ensure sound knowledge of Coverholders / TPAs and their lines of business by researching background information;

Have an awareness of the various services provided by Mazars; and

Attend training courses as required.

2.1 or above in any degree discipline

Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Maths.



We will fund for you to study towards the CII qualification.

You will receive a full study package to ensure that you successfully complete your professional qualification. This includes time off to study and complete online courses. Your professional qualification is only part of the story at Mazars; we support all of our trainees with a blended approach to training and development including classroom study, 1:1 coaching, and soft skills training.
