With over 30 million people using our services across the UK, we want to be the best bank for customers. Our Retail Banking team helps us do this, as the face of our business on the high street, on the phone and online. Whether buying a home, starting a new business or simply withdrawing money, our customers trust our people to provide outstanding service and advice. Join us, and you can too.

What you’ll do

Our two-year graduate programme has three, eight-month placements that will prepare you for a prominent career. Your Customer, Specialist and Leadership placements will take you to different locations around the UK; where you’ll learn about our customers, their needs, and how we support and manage our teams to meet those needs. This could involve everything from leading projects in a specialist environment, to helping deliver marketing campaigns for our multiple brands. Above all, you’ll experience the full variety of our business across our diverse teams.

Your development

This programme is designed to help you embrace your passions, strengths and interests – and discover new ones – in a learning culture that fits around you. We make sure you receive the support you need to grow through masterclasses, innovation jams, volunteering, practical on-the-job learning and mentoring from senior leaders. You’ll also study for the Chartered Banker qualification too. By the time you’re finished, you’ll be equipped to build a career that matters to you.

Entry requirements

We accept a 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university and welcome a diversity of individuals – from rock-climbers to film-buffs and party planners – because whatever shapes you, will shape our future too. And, you’ll be joining an organisation that offers flexible working and a huge range of benefits, so you can build a reward package that best suits you – including private medical benefits and discounted financial products.
