Private Client Tax Assistant/Semi Senior

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate to join our successful accountancy practice as a Tax Assistant/Semi Senior.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career in this interesting and ever evolving area of tax, with increasing client contact. Study support provided.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of tax returns, supporting schedules and computations for private clients, trusts and estates.
- Preparation of working papers to include basic income and expenditure statements, income summaries and scheduling of relevant data for tax return drafting.
- Drafting informal disclosures to HMRC to declare the income and Capital Gains position for the administration period of an estate
- Assist managers with other tax issues including Trust Registrations (TRS), Annual TRS Declarations, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.
- Liaising with HMRC by telephone and in writing
- Some accounts preparation and analysis.
- Use of in-house tax software and accounts preparation software (Digita), Microsoft Excel and Word, HMRC agent accounts
About you:
We are looking for a graduate who has a methodical approach to work with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You should enjoy working as part of a team and have great communication skills, both written and verbal. With a positive ethos and excellent interpersonal skills you will be proactive and take the initiative when needed.
You should either be studying towards or looking to commence studying ATT/CTA. You should also be confident using Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
