A professional membership body in the medical industry is looking for a policy and practice manager to join their team. The role will involve coordinating clinical policy, as well as managing and supporting clinical communities such as clinical advisors and special interest groups. There will also be an emphasis on developing strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing clinical and research consultations, from initial stages through to completion and sign-off
  1. Developing clinical policy by working with colleagues across the organisation to tackle sector needs
  2. Ensuring good governance across the clinical policy programme
  3. Engaging with specialist groups and coordinating the clinical advisors programme
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships via promotional activities, an up to date web presence, and clinical communities

Essential Attributes and Experience:

  1. Educated to degree level
  2. Project management experience
  3. Stakeholder management
  4. Minute taking and general secretariat experience
  5. Interest in UK healthcare, alongside experience working within health care and health care management
  6. Experience drafting formal documents and reports

Desirable Attributes:

  1. General practice and/or primary care experience
  2. Experience with improving governance and processes
  3. Experience working within a matrix management environment
