To apply for this placement you'll need to be on track for a 2.2 degree classification or above in: Electrical Engineering or a 2.1 degree classification or above in: Business Studies (& International Business), Finance, Economics, Marketing, Innovation, Law.

The NRB Commercial team acts as a centre of expertise, providing the Domestic and I&C metering, LNG and Interconnector businesses with specialist market sector knowledge and commercial skills to recognise change and exploit new opportunities in the market.


Programme overview


Join us and you'll use and develop your existing commercial skills and learn brand new ones. Not only will you be required to quickly understand the key drivers in each of the Non-Regulated Business areas, but you will also acquire tools and techniques that will see you become the go-to person for strategic questions. Exceptional stakeholder management skills will be key to your success in this team, as you will need to draw on a range of skillsets to develop a holistic view of the portfolio to develop concepts to secure National Grid’s well-established position in the heart of the energy market.


Within NRB Commercial, you’ll support a wide range of business teams and strategies in understanding and managing regulatory obligations, seeking and exploiting commercial opportunities and developing contracts and relationships to maximise the value of NRB activities.
