To apply for this placement you'll need to be on track for a 2.2 degree classification or above in: Maths, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a 2.1 degree classification or above in: Business, Management, Law, Management Accounting.


Capital Delivery brings together all of the major construction, tunnelling, excavating, overhead line and cabling work required for both gas and electricity transmission. We’re investing some £1.5 billion in our electricity and gas transmission systems over each of the coming years, and it will be Capital Delivery’s job to make sure we do so safely to time and budget, and to strict quality standards.


Programme overview


Join the Capital Delivery Contracts team and you’ll either be responsible for the development and implementation of contract strategies pre-award, or for the management of the contracts post-award. Either way, you’ll ensure we receive value for money and outperform the standards set by our new regulatory framework, RIIO (Revenue = Incentives + Innovation + Outputs


This role will involve you working closely with the delivery teams and travelling regularly to sites to support the teams delivering the work.
