The role of an ACA Associate will equip successful applicants with the necessary broad experience to start your career on the right track. Graduates can sit in a number of different departments, more information about which can be found on our website;

Corporate audit - within corporate audit you will need an analytical mind as you work to provide audit and accounting services to a broad range of clients. Our corporate audit department work with clients in a variety of sectors including financial services, technology companies and sports clubs.

Business tax - you will be providing bespoke taxation services to clients and dealing with queries from compliance through to high-level advisory work. You'll prepare tax returns and computations, carry out tax planning/consultancy work, and deal with HMRC, clients and third parties.

IIDA - international institutions and donor assurance (IIDA) is a specialist department carrying out audits of international development aid and other publicly-funded projects all over the world. Our major clients include the United Nations and European Commission, and we work with them to provide assurance that their funds are properly used and soundly managed. You'd have the opportunity to travel internationally, and would require a second language.

Private client tax - this department assists individuals with all aspects of their financial affairs from compliance through to complex planning. The key requirement for this department is being able to communicate in layman's terms.

Public sector audit - Join our public sector audit team and you will be involved in the audit of statutory accounts, internal audit and advisory assignments, in the central government, local government, health and education sectors within the UK and overseas.


All of the above opportunities would have the following requirements;

• Study for the ACA

• Degree educated with a 2:1 minimum (or international equivalent)

• 300 UCAS points, achieved across 3 A-levels sat within the same academic year (or international equivalent

• Competent using MS Office

• Team worker

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Proven planning and prioritising skills

• Able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
