The threats facing London are constant and ever-evolving. Emerging technologies and a growing population make the risks greater than ever. That’s why we need Intelligence Analysts. We’re after people who can spot clues that aren’t obvious; who realise not everything is what it seems; and who know that not all weapons look the same.

As the world’s leading police service, we investigate some of the most complex, high profile cases. You’ll join our investigative and operational analytical teams and start identifying connections in information, and developing intelligence to tackle organised crime. It’s about collecting, exploiting, assessing and interpreting a range of overt and covert information sources and delivering valuable, influential analysis, to tackle threat, risk and harm in London.

You’ll be working on critical and high risk incidents. So you’ll need to be a natural problem-solver who can prioritise and identify problems, as well as make quick, sound decisions. Flexibility and creativity are key, as is a keen interest in data analysis and exploitation. And as you’ll be a vital part of a multi-faceted team, you’ll also need strong collaboration and negotiation skills, plus a talent for communicating clearly and succinctly.

Crucially, you’ll be someone who can build the bigger picture from the tiny nuggets of intelligence you’ll unearth. The closer you can focus on the fine details, the sooner you’ll unlock the data that locks criminals away, and the better we’ll protect over eight million people.
