Standard working hours 37.5 hours per week.

Travel and site rotations

This is a national role and will consist of four 6 month placements where you will be exposed to all the teams within the cement plant: production, maintenance, optimisation, quality and projects. Time will be spent at each of our plants: Tunstead, Buxton; Aberthaw, Cardiff and; Dunbar, Edinburgh.


Full driving licence required and a company car will be provided for this role

An opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to build on their academic achievements with development that will provide both practical and formal training. You will gain knowledge, understanding and practical application of all safety policies, procedures and practices relevant to the role and be active in leading and driving safety standards and improvements. You will develop understanding of the maintenance department's long, medium and short-term goals, to enable you to effectively contribute to achieving plant objectives. Learn how to carry out day-to-day repair and maintenance of equipment, while being proactive in finding permanent solutions to engineering problems. Participate in planning, inspection and execution of tasks, taking ownership and accountability of tasks. You will play a key role in specific projects, based around improving plant reliability working in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve common goals.
