Million-pound budgets; wonderful stores; hundreds and thousands of items; scores of staff; and a multi-channel retail strategy. These are just some of the things you’ll manage as a Graduate Retail Manager.

Are you looking for a fast-track into a high-powered career? Something different to the usual nine-to-five office job? Just imagine the opportunities that come with managing an entire store, leading and inspiring a team to make every moment special for customers, interacting with thousands of people and balancing a huge budget. And as well as the satisfaction of seeing your decisions making a difference to customers and business stakeholders alike, you’ll enjoy some great rewards.

To prepare for your role managing a Simply Foods store, you’ll learn about the M&S transformation. We’re placing more emphasis on our beloved food products, which means we’ll focus your skills on how to run your own food store. However, you will also gain insights into areas such as Clothing & Home, and it’s impact on your store’s performance. Plus, you’ll develop your understanding of our people policies. All this will come with serious responsibility early on, but every step of the way you’ll be coached by our team of experienced managers and supported by enthusiastic colleagues.

Once your training is complete, you’ll have the skills to inspire a team, propel food sales and open up numerous career opportunities.

So if you are outgoing, analytical, calm under pressure and passionate about perfection; if you can think on your feet, spot where improvements can be made to make every moment special for customers – and then have the confidence and determination to make them happen – this could be the perfect programme for
you.
