Buying Graduate Programme

How do you spot the next big trend? How do you create desirable product ranges that continue to inspire faithful customers while winning over new ones? How do you make what we sell just that extra little bit more special? You can learn all of this – and plenty more besides – as a Graduate Trainee Assistant Buyer.

About the Programme

As part of one of our buying teams, such as Womenswear, you’ll track down the very latest on-trend, on-brand products. Each one will tick the all-important boxes of being the best quality at the fairest price, as well as having that special quality that makes them M&S.

Briefing designers, networking with suppliers, trialling new products and launching new ranges will all be part of your role. You’ll be learning alongside the best in the business too, so you’ll have all the training and on-the-job support you need to get on. When you’ve proved yourself, you could be offered an Assistant Buyer role. From there, you’ll take on more responsibility until you’re ready to become a fully-fledged Buyer, in charge of your own department.

About you

We’re looking for impressive imaginations and commercial awareness combined with a fashion-related degree or some retail buying experience. If you can add to this innate confidence, judgement and organisational skills, we’d like to hear from you.
