About the programme

Great TV, no matter how brilliant, is a waste of time if no-one watches it. Even with a brand as well-known as Sky, we need to remind people of the outstanding drama, comedy and up-to-the-minute news and sports on offer. Not to mention all the enticing deals and additional products available. You can’t help but have spotted the amazing work our Marketing team do. From billboards to TV adverts, we’re pretty much everywhere. But Marketing at Sky is much more than that.


How the programme works

Over the course of this two-year programme, you’ll complete four rotations covering all the bases.


‘Above the line’ (ATL) communication, working in a brand team. This could be in Sports, Movies, Now TV, TV Products, Sky Store, or Sky Difference. You might be working with external agencies, writing briefs and signing off creative designs seen by millions.


‘Below the line’ (BTL) communication, linking with creative agencies. You’ll gain exposure to multiple BTL media channels such as direct mail, email and door drops working across Sky with our teams from Broadband to Customer Management.


Strategy & Planning, as part of a Proposition, Planning, or Strategic team. Working in teams like Strategy and Insight, Media Planning or Product Propositions, you’ll apply your strategic thinking and make insightful recommendations based on data and research.


Commercial Awareness, within a Commercial team within Marketing. You’ll review the analysis and the stats, reviewing our strategy to make sure targets are met. At the same time you'll gain a firm understanding of the external marketplace and Sky’s position in it.

What we look for

You'll be analytical, commercially focused and a confident communicator able to work well as part of a team. You’ll either have, or be on track to complete, an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
