We are looking for a hungry graduate, either fresh from study or that has a few years relevant experience to join our Product team as a Marketing Executive.

We sell holidays worldwide, however, we specialise and are proud market leaders for the Indian Ocean (especially the Maldives), the Far East and the Caribbean – all of which are known as our core destinations which is what this Marketing Executive role will look after.

This role is Monday to Friday and benefits from our flexible hybrid working agreement – where you can choose to work from the comfort of your home or in our head office (a minimum of 1 day a week is required in head office, located in Dorking, Surrey and it’s pretty special!).

More about the role:

In this varied role, you’ll be supporting the Marketing Manager in the delivery of the agreed marketing plan and the ongoing evaluation of activity to ensure the marketing budget is being optimised.

You’ll be responsible for delivering activity across social media and a wide range of channels, including email, paid and organic search, trade marketing and events. You’ll also help the Marketing Manager keep the website up to date and optimised to maximise the conversion of visitors to prospects. In addition, your role will include analysing data and helping the Marketing Manager source marketing contribution from marketing partners. This role has a digital focus, with some offline reporting responsibilities for other promotional assets such as brochures.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in delivering all tactical marketing activity including:
  • Planning, publishing, measuring and reporting social media activity vs success criteria and making recommendations for future content and content themes
  • Supporting the Head of Digital with other digital activity including paid search and display, SEO
  • Tactical PR activity, both trade and consumer, in association with the Head of PR & Communications,
  • Trade marketing activity, in association with the Trade Manager
  • Events – both client and external
  • Using and maintaining the Beach content calendar so all colleagues in Product, Commercial, Sales and Central Marketing are up to date with current and upcoming activity
  • Internal marketing, to ensure that all relevant staff (sales etc) are fully briefed,
  • Ensuring all activity is delivered within the agreed industry guidelines and legalities
  • Working with Marketing Manager to ensure all digital properties (website etc) are up to date (using the relevant CMS) and continually optimised to ensure the highest conversion of visitors into enquirers.
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to manage relevant online communities to enhance brand reputation and increase conversion – to include social media followings and review platforms etc
  • Working with Marketing Manager and the CRM & Data Manager to ensure that the opportunities for prospect conversion and customer retention are being maximised, including the production of solus Tour Operator emails.
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in the process of securing contribution from partners and the administration associated with that contribution. To include preparing proposals, agreeing proposals, ensuring activity is undertaken, reporting and invoicing.
  • Tracking key competitor activity and adjusting plans as necessary.

What are we looking for:

  • A bright, pro-active and motivated individual with a passion for travel and an ambition to work for one of the UK’s leading travel companies
  • A broad knowledge of relevant disciplines gathered from experience within a marketing environment or study, ideally gained in the travel or retail industries.
  • Experience of coordinating marketing campaigns from inception through to final delivery and performance analysis.
  • Comfort in dealing and negotiating with people from all levels of an organisation, including directors and managers.
  • Understanding of coordinating direct mail and/or email campaigns.
  • Ability to write copy in a range of styles, in particular for social media
  • Understanding of managing elements of a B2C website
  • Well organised and conscientious with excellent attention to detail.
  • Numerate and comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets.

Salary and/ or benefits

  • £25,000 - £30,000 (with a yearly bonus of 5%)
