|Salary:||£20,000 to £23,000 depending on experience|
|Sectors:||Marketing, Secretarial & Business Admin, Research & Analysis|
The world of market research influences almost every area of our lives, from economic and commercial to social and political; from the style of your jeans to the flavour of your coffee, from the policies of the government to the success of your favourite charities, from the films you choose on Netflix to the holidays you choose every summer.
In the UK it’s a fast-moving, £4.8 billion a year industry offering a wide range of intellectually challenging career opportunities.
Strategic Research & Insight Ltd (SRI) are one of Wales’ leading market research and intelligence providers. We have over 30 years’ experience of professional quantitative and qualitative research, supplying data and analysis to our clients.
Today we are a young friendly team of 9 core employees committed to building a business that provides service of the highest quality, in the context of a healthy and enjoyable work-life balance.
As the business continues to grow we have an opportunity for a Research Executive to join us to gain a thorough grounding and training in all areas of our work, and to become an integral part of the expanding SRI team. You’ll get wide-ranging hands-on experience and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to further develop your problem solving, communication, team playing and interpersonal skills. You’ll also be encouraged and supported to work towards professional qualifications.
You’ll learn about and take increasing responsibility for:
• Writing proposals, designing projects and project management
• Designing questionnaires and surveys
• Organising, attending and leading focus group discussions
• Conducting interviews and managing fieldwork
• Carrying out desk research
• Analysing data and interpreting findings
• Report writing and presenting findings and recommendations
• Providing expert advice to clients and helping them get the most from their research
Market research provides great career opportunities for people who are confident, articulate, numerate, analytical, and logical, with a real interest in people and their behaviour. Here at SRI we offer opportunities for people who are also team players; energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic; and possess a good sense of humour, even if it is a bit quirky (we try not to take ourselves too seriously; divas wouldn’t fit in.) As our work involves both quantitative and qualitative research, a balance of analytical and people skills would fit in perfectly and if you speak Welsh that would be a bonus.
We are based in modern offices in Cardiff city centre near parks, shops and the civic centre, and very close to excellent train, bus and car parking.
We pay competitive salaries, a generous performance related bonus at Christmas and provide health cover. We support charity work financially and practically, and offer time out for employees to pursue their own charity interests.
If you’re interested in considering a career with us in this increasingly significant sector, please send us a copy of your CV, and a note telling us why you think you’d be a great addition to the team.
Please note - only candidates immediately eligible to work in the UK will be considered for this role
