Placements are running at Nestlé sites up and down the country. Wherever you join us, you’ll return to your final year of study with a new set of goals and the skills to achieve them.

What the Manufacturing Industrial Placement entails

Our placement is all about putting learning into practice and building on the foundations you’ve laid at university. Under the guidance and mentorship of our industry experts, you’ll take an active role in real-life projects and rotate through various roles to experience everything from shift and shop floor management, Total Productive Maintenance and DMAIC processes.

In the thick of the action every day, you’ll develop the core professional skills you’ll need to thrive at a global Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business. Things like communication and collaboration. You’ll also learn how to develop and contribute your own ideas. While you’re with us, you’ll be invited to take part in decision-making so that, by the end of the programme, you’ve got the confidence you need to really make headway in your career.

Who is eligible for the Manufacturing Industrial Placement?

You’ll need to be in the second-to-last year of your degree (or year three for Scottish students). We’re not looking for particular subjects, universities or grades, though—what’s important here is that you’re 100% committed to the career path you’ve chosen and will put everything into learning as much as possible with us. If you’re full of energy, ideas and ambition, we’d love to meet you.
